Office Assistant/Patient Care Coordinator

Pullman Vision Source, a locally owned independent optometry practice in Pullman, WA, is seeking a full-time patient care coordinator to join our team. This position will be the face of Pullman Vision Source and the first person our patients interact with. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated with a willingness and desire to eventually grow into a more comprehensive, hands-on role.

Primary duties include:

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for patients during the check in process
  • Schedule management
  • Insurance verification
  • Respond to general questions, providing accurate information regarding services and accurately routing calls as needed
  • Data input
  • Receive and process payments
  • General administrative duties to assist front of office

Required skills:

  • Personable and outgoing team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Self-motivated with ability work efficiently and productively unsupervised
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly

Education and experience:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree OR equivalent work experience (required)
  • Customer service experience (preferred)
  • Medical office experience (preferred)


  • Monday to Friday, 36 – 40 hours a week
  • 2 PM Friday closure
