Staff

Pullman Vision Source has a knowledgeable staff ready to assist each patient. With a dispensary of over 700 frames, it is easy to find the perfect frame you will enjoy wearing. If you are looking for contact lenses, we have the knowledge and skill to help just about anyone be a successful contact lens wearer.

LaSharr, Paraoptometric

LaSharr shines at helping the patient select new frames and lenses. She has great knowledge of lens design, lens features and oversees our large dispensary. LaSharr grew up between the small town of Rochester and big city of Tacoma. She moved out to Pullman to attend Washington State University and decided she liked the middle ground of a slightly bigger town with a small-town feel and decided to stay in Pullman. She spends her free time either going back home to visit her family or hanging out with her two amazing cats, Jasmine and Raja. If she’s not doing one of those two things you can normally find her reading or watching Disney movies or football. Her favorite place in the world is the ocean no matter the temperature of the water she will go right in.

Jon, Optical Tech

Jon is our optical technician and does all the patient pre-testing. He recently relocated to the Palouse from Idaho. When not putting a smile on patient faces, Jon can be found working out in the gym. Jon is also bilingual and happy to assist our Spanish speaking patients!

Photo of Steffanie.Steffanie, Paraoptometric

Steffanie is our newest staff member and is excited to assist clients with frame and lens selection and adjustments as well as provide assistance with office tasks and management for the entire Pullman Vision Source team.

Steffanie grew up in a variety of places in the western United States before attending college at Washington State University here in Pullman. After earning a degree she and her locally grown spouse adventured to Arizona and Oregon before returning to Pullman to continue the family farming and raising their two children. They brought with them 2 dogs, 2 cats, 40 gallons of fish, and the promise that the loss of living close to the ocean would be met with the opportunity to raise livestock. Two herds of goats, a flock of chickens, and one donkey later, she feels like she made a good trade.

When not doing farm chores, attending Vandals sporting events, or watching her children’s various music performances Steffanie enjoys a wide array of fiber-related hobbies and creative arts. These are enhanced by her deep interest in color theory and how color perception is informed by and informs our environment. If you ever forget the current Pantone color of the year just give her a call and she’ll remind you. She’ll be happy to help you find a similar shade in a frame selection too.

Matthew, Paraoptometric

Photo of MeloneyMatthew is our jack of many trades, and enjoys jumping in and learning all that he can. He enjoys making art, doing crafts, baking, and loves making (and drinking) coffee. He has lived in rural Eastern Washington for most of his life, and has settled down in Pullman for the last few years. He loves fixing computers and learning the science behind the way things work. He has a keen fashion sense and is great at helping you with frame selection.

Sarah, Front Desk Associate

Photo of SarahSarah is from a small town in the Boise, Idaho area. She moved to Pullman for some excitement and change! Her hobbies include making art, (she has prints available!), binging movies and tv shows, mainly anime. She especially loves makeup, both for beauty, but also SFX, and is involved in theatre student projects at UI. She has two cats, Okotto and Kakashi, that are her favorite little beings in the world. She loves working with people, and getting to know the community. She is grateful for the wonderful opportunity to meet a variety of people and be a part of providing high quality eye care with such a fantastic group of people.
